Vitamins A,D,E,K

Vitamin A (retinol)

Use: Growth, bones, teeth, immunogenic system, antioxidant action, skin, sight.

Natural sources: Butter, dairy products, citrus fruits, fish oils, carrots, egg crocuses, green vegetables, cow liver.

Daily need: 750-900mcg

Increased needs: diet low in fat.
 
Insufficiency: Ruining the teeth and gum, allergies, dryness in hair and skin, deceleration of growth, problematic sight, and sensitivity in pollution.

Suspension of absorption: with coffee, alcohol, excess iron.


Vitamin D (calciferol)

Use: Growth, assimilation of phosphor and calcium, prevention of arthrogryposis, shaping and maintenance of bones and teeth.

Natural sources: Dairy products, butter, olive oil, enriched margarine, fish oils, sardines, egg crocuses.

Insufficiency: Muscular weakness, insufficient absorption of calcium, nervousness.

Daily need: 5mcg

Increased needs: Insufficient exposure in sunlight, diet low in fat, menopause, osteoporosis, low absorption of calcium.


Vitamin E (Tocopherol)

Use: Reproduction, antioxidant action, skin, heart, circulatory system, muscles, protection of erythrocytes.

Natural sources: Cereals of total milling, olive oil, walnuts, margarine, dark green vegetables, wheat oil, wheat germ.

Insufficiency: Fragile erythrocytes, cardiac diseases, expulsions.

Daily need: 11-15mg

Increased needs: exercising, diet with a lot of fat, climacteric, circulatory problems, sub fertility.


Vitamin [K] (phylloquinone)

Use: Coagulation of blood, shaping of prothrombin.

Natural sources: Fish oils, green foliar vegetables, soya, liver, alfalfa germs, cauliflower.

Insufficiency: Tendency for bleedings, nose bleed, diarrhea.

Daily need: 30mcg

Increased needs: Antibiotics, diet, diseases of intestine, malabsorption of fat.
